1942. Āishah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Jibra'il – may the Ṣalawāt of Allāh be upon him – continued to recommend me about (treating) the neighbors so (kindly and politely), that I thought he would order me to make them heirs." (Sahīh)
١٩٤٢ - حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ هُوَ: ابْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَا زَالَ جِبْرِيلُ» يُوصِينِي بِالْجَارِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُوَرِّثُهُ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

The angel Jibra'il kept coming with repeated directives from Allāh pressing for the rights of the neighbor and treating him with the utmost kindness and respect, so much so that the Prophet ﷺ thought that perhaps the neighbor would also be made an inheritor in the wealth left behind by the dead.
