English translation

1951. Jābir bin Samurah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "That a man should discipline his son is better for him than to have given a Ṣā' in charity." (Ḍa'if) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Ḥadīth is Gharīb. And Nāṣih bin Al-'Alā' Al-Kūfī is not strong according to the people of Ḥadīth, and we do not know of this Ḥadīth except from this route. There is another Shaikh named Nāṣih, from Al-Baṣrah, who reports from 'Ammār bin Abī 'Ammār, and others, and he is more reliable than this one.
