2163. Jābir narrated: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ prohibited passing an unsheathed sword." (Da'if) [Abū 'Eisā said:] There is something on this topic from Abū Bakrah. This Hadith is Hasan Gharib as a narration of Ḥammād bin Salamah. Ibn Lahī'ah reported this Hadith from Abū Az-Zubair, from Jābir, from Bannah Al-Juḥanī from the Prophet ﷺ. The narration of Ḥammād bin Salamah is more correct in my view.
٢١٦٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُتَعَاطَى السَّيْفُ مَسْلُولًا». وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ. وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ. وَرَوَى ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ بَنَّةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. وَحَدِيثُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عِنْدِي أَصَحُّ.
