English translation

2353. Abū Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "The poor are admitted into Paradise before the rich, by five hundred years, (i.e.) half a day." (Hasan) [He said:] This Ḥadīth is Ḥasan Ṣaḥīḥ.

Arabic text

٢٣٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌قَبِيصَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ‌مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَدْخُلُ الْفُقَرَاءُ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ بِخَمْسِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ نِصْفِ يَوْمٍ». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
