2742. Anas bin Mālik narrated that two men sneezed in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ; he responded to one of them and did not respond to the other. The one who was not responded to said: "O Messenger of Allāh! You responded to this person and did not respond to me?" So the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "He praised Allāh while you did not praise Him." (Sahīh)
[Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Ḥasan Ṣaḥīh [And it has been reported from Abū Hurairah from the Prophet ﷺ].

Commentary
He who thanks and praises Allāh after sneezing acting upon the saying of the Prophet ﷺ should be given a supplication of good according to the Sunnah. He does not deserve the supplication, if he does not say 'Al-Hamdulillāh' (all praise and thanks are due to Allāh); if he is ignorant he should be taught.
