2853. ‘Abdullāh bin ‘Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Indeed Allāh detests the excessive among men, who slaps his tongue around like the cow slaps his tongue.” (Hasan) [Abū ‘Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Hasan Gharib from this route. There is something on this topic from Sa’d.
٢٨٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْجُمَحِيُّ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ سَمِعَهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ يُبْغِضُ الْبَلِيغَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ الَّذِي يَتَخَلَّلُ» بِلِسَانِهِ، كَمَا تَتَخَلَّلُ الْبَقَرَةُ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ. وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ.

The cow rolls in everything with the tongue i.e., grass, thorns, palatable and unpalatable things and makes no difference; so the people who are talkative and eloquent and they transmit everything confirmed and unconfirmed, right and wrong to dominate the people, and they use it a source of income; such people are disliked and hated by Allāh ﷻ.
