Commentary
Since Allāh commanded the Prophet ﷺ to preach and spread the message of Islam openly; in the season of Hajj, he would visit the tents and dwellings of the various Arab tribes in the very well known Arab markets: 'Ukaz, Majinnah and Dhul-Majāz; and he would call them to Islam. These markets would be held one after another until the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah, thereafter the people would be free for performing the rituals of Hajj; and on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, he would call to Islam in the valley of 'Arafāt. He would keep it continuing during the days of Minā, however eventually the people of Yathrib (now Al-Madinah) became determined to take him, so he migrated to Al-Madinah and settled there.
