(2). 2956. Abū Hurairah narrated, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, regarding Allāh's saying: Enter the gate in prostration:[1] "They entered dragging their behinds" meaning they distorted it, and with this chain, from the Prophet ﷺ: But those who did wrong changed the word from that which had been told to them for another.[2] – "They said: Habbah (a seed) in Sha'irah (in barely)." (Saḥīḥ) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Hasan Saḥīḥ.
٢٩٥٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَادْخُلُوا الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا} قَالَ: دَخَلُوا مُتَزَحِّفِينَ عَلَى أَوْرَاكِهِمْ؛ أَيْ مُنْحَرِفِينَ». ٢٩٥٦ (م) - وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ {فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا قَوْلا غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ} قَالَ: «قَالُوا: حَبَّةٌ فِي شَعَرَةٍ». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

The stubbornness of the Jews is mentioned in this Hadīth, they opposed both verbally and physically, they entered the holy land with pride, crawling on their buttocks instead of prostrating with humility and humbleness; they distorted the words of pardon and seeking forgiveness into mockery saying, 'a grain in barely'.
