Commentary
It is also extremism and exaggeration in the matters of Religion that benefiting from the concessions and flexible rules of the Religion is considered against piety and righteousness. Therefore the benefits of these flexible rules, according to the circumstances, must not be avoided and ignored. Shortening the prayer during a journey is better but not compulsory, according to Imām Ash-Shāfi'i, Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal and most of the scholars of Hadīth.
