English translation

3533. Anas bin Mālik narrated that the Prophet ﷺ passed by a tree with dry leaves, so he struck it with his staff, making the leaves fall. Then he said: "Indeed, all praise is due to Allāh, (Al-Hamdulillāh) 'glory to Allāh, (Subhān Allāh)' none has the right to be worshipped but Allāh, (Lā Ilāha Illallāh)' and 'Allāh is the greatest (Allāhu Akbar)' cause the sins to fall from the worshipper, just as the leaves of this tree fall." (Hasan) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Gharīb, and we do not know of Al-A'mash hearing from Anas except, that he saw him and looked at him.

٣٥٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنِ ‌الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ ‌أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِشَجَرَةٍ يَابِسَةِ الْوَرَقِ فَضَرَبَهَا بِعَصَاهُ فَتَنَاثَرَ الْوَرَقُ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ لِلهِ وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ لَتُسَاقِطُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِ الْعَبْدِ كَمَا تَسَاقَطَ وَرَقُ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ وَلَا نَعْرِفُ لِلْأَعْمَشِ سَمَاعًا مِنْ أَنَسٍ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَدْ رَآهُ وَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ.
