3539. Abū Sirmah narrated from Abū Ayyūb, that when death reached him, he said: "I have concealed something I heard from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ from you. I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying: 'If you did not sin, Allāh would create a creation that would sin, so He will forgive them.'" (Ṣaḥīḥ) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Ḥasan Gharīb and this has been related similarly from Muḥammad bin Ka'b, from Abū Ayyūb, from the Prophet ﷺ. (A chain for that)
٣٥٣٩ - حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَاصِّ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صِرْمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ «أَنَّهُ قَالَ حِينَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ: قَدْ كَتَمْتُ عَنْكُمْ شَيْئًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ: لَوْلَا أَنَّكُمْ تُذْنِبُونَ لَخَلَقَ اللهُ خَلْقًا يُذْنِبُونَ فَيَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ. ٣٥٣٩ (م) - وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ. حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ قُتَيْبَةُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ مَوْلَى غُفْرَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
