Text and translation

English translation

3584. Anas narrated that when the Prophet ﷺ would go out for an expedition, he would say: "O Allāh, You are my Adūd and You are my Helper, and by You[1] do I fight (Allāhumma Anta 'Adūdī, Wa Anta Naṣīrī, Wa Bika Uqātīl).” (Ḍa'īf) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Ḥadīth is Ḥasan Gharīb [and the meaning of his statement “my Adūd” is “my support”].
