English translation
3622. Ibn 'Abbās said: "The Prophet ﷺ died when he was sixty-five years old." (Ḍa'if) This is how Muhammad bin Bashshār narrated it to us, and Muhammad bin Ismā'il narrated similar to that from him.

٣٦٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً». هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَرَوَى عَنْهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.

Commentary
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in Makkah in Shu'ba Banū Hāshim, on Monday in the Year of Elephant, that is 2 or 22 April 571 C. E. The lunar month is not precisely known for various reasons. It is believed that it was Rabī' Al-Awwal. There is difference of opinion in the date of the month but some scholars say that it was the 12th of Rabī' Al-Awwal. According to correct research it was the 9th Rabī' Al-Awwal.
