English translation

3708. Ibn ‘Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ mentioned the Fitnah and said: "This one will be wrongfully killed during it," about 'Uthmān bin 'Affān [may Allāh be pleased with him]. (Hasan) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Hasan Gharīb from this route [as a narration of Ibn 'Umar].

٣٧٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌شَاذَانُ الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ ‌سِنَانِ بْنِ هَارُونَ عَنْ ‌كُلَيْبِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ ‌ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: «ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِتْنَةً، فَقَالَ: يُقْتَلُ هَذَا فِيهَا مَظْلُومًا لِعُثْمَانَ». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ.
