English translation

3868. Buraidah said: "The most beloved of women to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was Fāṭimah and from the men was 'Ali." (Ḍa'if) (One of the narrators) Ibrāhīm [bin Sa'eed] said: meaning from the people of his house. [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Ḥadīth is Ḥasan Gharīb. We do not know of it except from this route.

٣٨٦٨ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ ‌جَعْفَرٍ الْأَحْمَرِ، عَنْ ‌عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ‌ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «كَانَ أَحَبَّ النِّسَاءِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاطِمَةُ،» وَمِنَ الرِّجَالِ عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ: يَعْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
