English translation

3954. Zaid bin Thābit said: "We were with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ collecting the Qur'ān on pieces of cloth, so the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Tūba is for Ash-Shām.' So we said: 'Why is that O Messenger of Allāh?' He said: 'Because the angels of Ar-Rahmān spread their wings over it.'" (Ḥasan) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Ḥasan Gharīb. We only know of it as a narration of Yaḥyā bin Ayyūb.

Commentary

Spreading of the wings of angels on some areas, is a sign of blessings and honor for that area, and also safety from troubles.
