812. 'Alī narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Whoever has the provisions and the means to convey him to Allāh's House and he does not perform Hajj, then it does not matter if he dies as a Jew or a Christian. That is because Allāh said in His Book: 'And Hajj to the House is a duty that mankind owes to Allāh, for whomever is able to bear the journey.'[2] (Ḍa'if)
Abū 'Eisā said: This Hadīth is Gharīb, we do not know of it except from this route, and there is some criticism over its chain. Hilāl bin 'Abdullāh is an unknown, and Al-Ĥārīth was graded weak in Hadīth.

Commentary
This narration is a warning for those who have the means for performing Hajj and they still do not perform. For such people it does not matter if they die as a Jew or a Christian.
