English translation

886. Jābir narrated: "The Prophet ﷺ hurried through Wādi Muḥassir." Bishr (one of the narrators) added: "He departed from Jam' calmly and he ordered them (the people) to be calm." And Abū Nu'aim (one of the narrators) added: "And he ordered them to do the stoning with what was similar to pebbles for Al- Khadhf[1] And he said: "Perhaps I will not see you after this year."(Sahih) (He said:) There is something about this from Usāmah bin Zaid. Abū 'Eisā said: The Hadīth of Jābir is a Hasan Sahih Hadīth.

٨٨٦ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌وَكِيعٌ ، ‌وَبِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، ‌وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا ‌سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ ‌جَابِرٍ ؛ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْضَعَ فِي وَادِي مُحَسِّرٍ». وَزَادَ فِيهِ بِشْرٌ: وَأَفَاضَ مِنْ جَمْعٍ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّكِينَةُ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالسَّكِينَةِ. وَزَادَ فِيهِ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ: وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَرْمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ، وَقَالَ: لَعَلِّي لَا أَرَاكُمْ بَعْدَ عَامِي هَذَا. وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ. حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
