From Ibn ʿAbbās (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhumā) that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) said, "Allāh has overlooked my people for me, for [their] mistakes, [their] forgetfulness and for what they have done under compulsion." Related by Ibn Mājah, al-Bayhaqī

عَنِ [ابنِ عبَّاسٍ] رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُما، أَنَّ رسولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قالَ: "إنَّ اللهَ تَجَاوَزَ لِي عَنْ أُمَّتِي: الْخَطَأَ، وَالنِّسْيَانَ، وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ". حديثٌ حسَنٌ رواه ابنُ ماجَه والبيهقيُّ وغيرُهما.
