3250. It was narrated from Sālim, from his father, from 'Umar, may Allāh be pleased with him, who said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ heard me..." similar (to no. 3250) to its meaning up to (the words) "by your fathers". He added: 'Umar said: "By Allāh, I did not swear in this manner, either myself, or narrating it from others (afterwards)."' (Ṣaḥīḥ)
3250 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: سَمِعَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَحْوَ مَعْنَاهُ إِلَى بِآبَائِكُمْ، زَادَ قَالَ عُمَرُ: «فَوَاللَّهِ مَا حَلَفْتُ بِهَذَا ذَاكِرًا وَلَا آثِرًا»
