Commentary

Li'ān (invoking curses) is an irrevocable separation, after which a man (who invokes curses) can never remarry the woman. The child of a woman involved in invoking the curse will not be a part of the lineage of the husband who invokes the curse, and also the child will not be an heir of that man. However, the woman is doubtlessly the mother of the child. Therefore the child will be the heir of the mother, and other maternal relatives, and they will be the child's heir.
