English translation
[7043] 17 - (2784) It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The likeness of the hypocrite is that of a sheep that is confused and roams between two flocks, going to one and then to the other.”

17 - (2784) حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ يَعْنِي الثَّقَفِيَّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «مَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ، كَمَثَلِ الشَّاةِ الْعَائِرَةِ بَيْنَ الْغَنَمَيْنِ تَعِيرُ إِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً وَإِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً»،
