English translation

[7103] 65 - (2812) It was narrated that Jâbir said: "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'The Shaitân has despaired of being worshipped in the Arabian Peninsula, but he will sow seeds of discord among them.'"

٦٥ - (٢٨١٢) حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة وإسحاق بن إِبْرَاهِيمَ (قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا. وقَالَ عُثْمَانُ: حَدَّثَنَا) جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى الله عليه وسلم يقول "إن الشيطان قد أيس أن يعبده المصلون في جزيرة العرب. ولكن في التحريش بينهم".
