English translation

[2129] 6 - (919) It was narrated that Umm Salamah said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'If you are in the presence of one who is sick or dying, then say good things, for the Angels say Āmîn to whatever you say.'" She said: "When Abû Salamah died, I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allâh, Abû Salamah has died.' He said: 'Say: Allâhummaghfilî wa lahu, wa a'qibnî minhu 'uqbâ hasanah (O Allâh, forgive me and him, and compensate me with something good.)' She said: "I said it, and Allâh compensated me with someone who was better than him, Muḥammad ﷺ."
