English translation

[2612] 92 - (1115) It was narrated that Jābir bin 'Abdullāh [may Allāh be pleased with them] said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was on a journey, and he saw a man around whom the people had gathered and he was being shaded. He said: 'What is the matter with him?' They said: '(He is) a man who is fasting.' The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'It is not righteousness to fast when travelling.'"
