English translation
[7076] 46 - (2802) It was narrated from Anas that the people of Makkah asked the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ to show them a sign, and he showed them the splitting of the moon, twice.

46 - (2802) حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُرِيَهُمْ آيَةً «فَأَرَاهُمُ انْشِقَاقَ الْقَمَرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ»،
