English translation
3688. It was narrated from Sa'd bin 'Ubâdah that he consulted the Prophet ﷺ about a vow which his mother had to fulfill, but she died before doing so. The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: "Fulfill it on her behalf." (Sahîh)

3658 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَدَقَةَ الْحِمْصِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ: أَنَّهُ اسْتَفْتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نَذْرٍ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّهِ، فَمَاتَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا»
