English translation

1396. 'Abdullāh narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Indeed the first cases to be judged between the people are those of bloodshed." (Sahīh) [Abū 'Eisā said:] The Hadīth of 'Abdullāh is a Ḥasan Sahīh Hadīth. This is how it was reported by more than one narrator, from Al-A'mash in Marfū' form. Some of them reported it from Al-A'mash without narrating it Marfū'. (Another chain) from 'Abdullāh who narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Indeed the first cases to be judged between the worshippers are those of bloodshed."

١٣٩٦ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ ‌الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ ‌عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحْكَمُ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ فِي الدِّمَاءِ.»
