English translation
1418. Sa'eed bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever is killed over his wealth then he is a martyr. [And whoever steals a hand-span of land, he will bear seven earths on the Day of Resurrection.]" (Sahih) Ḥātim bin Siyāh Al-Marwazī narrated an addition in this Ḥadīth. Ma'mar said: "It was conveyed to me by Az-Zuhri" and he did not hear him adding to this Hadīth: "Whoever is killed over his wealth then he is a martyr." This is how Shu'āib bin Abī Ḥamzah narrated this Hadīth from Az-Zuhri, from Talḥah bin 'Abdullāh, from 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin 'Amr bin Saḥl, from Sa'eed bin Zaid, from the Prophet ﷺ. Sufyān bin 'Uyainah narrated it from Az-Zuhri, from Talḥah bin 'Abdullāh, from Sa'eed bin Zaid from the Prophet ﷺ. Sufyān did not mention in it: "From 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin 'Amr bin Saḥl."] This Hadīth is Hasan Ṣaḥīh.
